The Common Mistakes We Do While Washing Clothes In Hurry

It is true that the washing clothes has become much easier than our previous generation. Now, there are so many varieties of quality detergent powder like Safed that remove the stains leaving a beautiful fragrance behind.

When you have small kids at home, the task of washing the clothes seems huge. When we are in a hurry, we tend to take shortcuts and thus make mistakes. This is a common scenario for washing clothes as well. As a result, sometimes we just ruin our favorite dress.

These kinds of mishap can be avoided easily so that there can be a longer life for the favorite attire. We just need to follow some simple steps to ensure the best practice for washing clothes.

  •   While washing for the first time, always read the printed instruction for the clothes. The garments companies come up with different wash symbols like temperature, tumble dry or no iron to ensure the fabric will stay in its best condition for long. If you don’t follow the symbol, you may end up with torn, faded or destroyed clothes.
  •   When we are in a hurry, we barely check the pocket of the shirt or pant and put them into the machine. If you have a kid in your house, then the chances of finding a piece of crayons or metal toy pieces are not impossible. It can tear the fabric or stain other clothes miserably. Always, remember to check the pockets to avoid these kinds of incidents.
  •   Never put a cloth in the washing machine with the open zipper as it may rip the fabric. Close all the zippers in time of washing the clothes to ensure its longevity.
  •   Another huge mistake people often make is not separating the clothes according to the colors. There is a huge chance of color bleeding from dark clothes and stain the light color clothes.
  •   Many times people don’t find the matching socks and small items after washing. To avoid this incident, always use a mesh bag for the small items and put it in the machine or tumbler so that every piece will stay intact.
  •   Sometimes, we think that using more than the required amount of detergent powder is good for washing tough stains. This is a completely wrong concept as you may need to waste more water to wash the soapy residue from the clothes with the same result. If you are washing in the machine, follow the instructions on the packet of the detergent. For the tumble wash, use the same step as well.
  •   When we use the washing machine in a hurry, we often overload them with more amounts of clothes than the limit. It will provide huge pressure on the motor resulting in wearing down the blades. Along with that, the cleaning quality will also be reduced when the clothes will get less space for a spin.
  •   Another major mistake we make is to leave the clothes in the machine for long after washing without putting them for drying. It can develop a moldy smell on the clothes for which you may need another round of washing.
